Heather McClure’s practice as of counsel to the firm focuses on review of risk and claims for healthcare insurers and reinsurers. She analyzes risk profiles, claims data, and exposures in order to provide expertise and recommendations regarding insured hospitals and healthcare providers. She specializes in claims management, risk assessment, and coverage issues. For half of Heather’s nearly 30 years as a healthcare lawyer, she was Chief Risk Officer of a large academic health system. In that capacity she directed the defense of claims against physicians and healthcare providers, operated the system’s captive insurance company, and oversaw clinical risk management and insurance.
