Mr. Nelson has over 30 years of experience in representing U.S. and international insurers with respect to complex professional liability claims involving multi-national insurance brokers, large U.S. law firms and major accounting firms. He evaluates insurance coverage for the insured professional firms and then analyzes the merits of the claims asserted against these firms by third parties, in order to make claim-handling recommendations to his insurance company clients.

Over the years, Mr. Nelson has handled a wide variety of types of claims against professionals and has represented the interests of insurers with respect to some of the largest malpractice claims ever made in the U.S. against insurance brokerage firms, law firms and international accounting firms.  Mr. Nelson served as law clerk to Hon. Donald Holbrook, Jr. of the Michigan Court of Appeals from May 1977-1978.
