Myra Brown’s practice for over 30 years has focused on representing hospitals and healthcare providers. She specializes in acting as Underwriters’ Representative exclusively for healthcare insurers and reinsurers, and she consults with healthcare providers on claims management, procedures, and coverage issues. Before going into private practice, Myra was Deputy Chief of the Civil Actions Bureau of the Office of the Cook County State’s Attorney and was Supervisor of the Hospital Litigation Division. In that capacity, she oversaw the defense of claims against physicians and healthcare providers in the Cook County Hospital System, one of the largest municipal healthcare systems in the United States.
